Victoria Falls: Guided Walking Tour
5 ReviewsNothing is quite like the heart-pounding sensation of actually standing on the edge of Victoria Falls, under the guidance of a professional whose knowledge about the falls is very vast and extensive.
The best time of year to go fishing for your elusive tiger is between August and December.
Tafika Zambezi is a stunningly appointed lodge on one of the most scenic sites on the Zambezi River. The camp consists of 7 twin bedded brick under thatch lodges with en-suite bathrooms. Each unit has tea and coffee making facilities, overhead fans and individual mosquito nets. Guests have fantastic views of the Zambezi from their rooms.
Tafika is an all-inclusive lodge, rates include accommodation, all meals, drinks, teas & coffees, boat hire, 50 litres of fuel per day, tackle and bait and National Park Fees. Each boat has an experienced river guide on board to assist you with your daily fishing requirements. The skimmer boats are ideally suited for four anglers per boat and include four tiger rods and four bream rods per boat together with cooler boxes of refreshments, life jackets, UHF radios, basic first aid kits and the all-important worms for bait.
With over 40 kilometres of river available, this is one of the prime locations for Tiger Fishing on the Zambezi. Both novice and experienced fishermen are almost guaranteed to land trophy-sized Tiger Fish. In addition, fishermen have also caught bream, Chesa (which is abundant in these parts) and Vundu. Game drives are not offered at Tafika but guests can look forward to spectacular bird viewing, game viewing and phenomenal photographic opportunities when they go on river excursions.
At the end of a rewarding day's fishing guests return to the oasis that is Tafika. Here ice-cold drinks are served from the well-appointed bar, and guests can cool down in the swimming pool, sit around the fire in the early evening narrating the day's fishing tales and then enjoy a sumptuous meal - all whilst looking over the mighty Zambezi. As optional activity guests may choose to take walks in the Sapi Safari Area and Mana Pools (by prior arrangement)
