For larger groups of up to a maximum of twenty people Somalisa Camp can also be booked with Somalisa Acacia to accommodate the extra people.
Somalisa Acacia is a tented Safari camp located within the Hwange National park. Lying under an ancient Acacia grove this camp is built overlooking a waterhole which draws many elephants, kudu, zebra among other animals. The site was recently refurbished and now comprises two standard tents as well as two family units, which are now interconnected tents, one for parents and another for children.
The tents are airy and also include fireplace, fan, ensuite bathrooms with luxurious bathtubs and outdoor showers. All the tents give guests an all-round view of the camp and surroundings. The central camp facilities include a large lounge area, dining section and swimming pool. The camp is solar-powered and power points for charging electronic devices can only be found at the main camp.
Somalisa is open all year round and it is a family-friendly centre which embraces all younger guests as the camp boasts of experienced child-friendly guides who can take the children on memorable activities during their stay.
Activities to look forward during the visit include night drives, bird watching, game drives and walks. Cultural tours of the nearby village are also eye-opening.
