The lodge is far enough away from Chirundu to have plenty of other game animals visiting the camp surrounds during the day and at night. These can all be viewed safely from our elevated platform, which can seat up to 12 guests.
Jecha Point Fishing Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River, downstream from the border town of Chirundu. The lodge offers leisure accommodation in thatched chalets or camping facilities. Jecha Point has six chalets in total, all with en-suite bathroom facilities and fans. Four chalets sleep two guests each. The main lodge is a cosy thatched family chalet with two separate rooms, with 2 additional beds and a separate kitchen. It sleeps six guests in total. The Kitchen of the family chalet is fully equipped.
Fisherman’s cottage is an additional two-bed cottage, with two completely separate ensuite rooms, one with a shower, one with a bath. Both rooms are air-conditioned and also have fans and mosquito nets. Camping facilities comprise two separate river-side sites, with power points, braai stands and fire pits. There are communal ablutions with open air showers plus a wash up area
Jecha Point specializes in offering professional guiding to fly fishing enthusiasts focused on the mighty tiger fish and other exciting species. We also cater to the conventional fisherman. We also offer photographic excursions (day trips) to Mana Pools, birding safaris, game walks, game viewing from an elevated platform and photographic boat cruises. Our facilities are ideal as a quaint venue for small conferences and weddings and we offer personalised wedding planning and catering. Guests visiting Jecha can expect to see wild elephants frequenting the camp on a daily basis, especially when the Acacia and Torchwood trees are in fruit. Please note – Due to Covid19 the lodge no longer offers the catering options and all bookings are now sold on a self-catering basis with a USD$10 levy per day extra for the cook/cleaner
